This sliding adapter allows you to 'scan' the 4x5 image area so the multiple images can be stitched together using image editing software into a giant mega-file with amazing detail and clarity! The sliding board has guides and markings to help with positioning, as well as a tension screw lock to keep the sliding board in place during shooting.The DLX Stretch portion of the adapter allows you to loosen and extend the camera mounting plate up to 16 mm away from the sliding board. This gives the ability to help correct and minimize any possible back focus that may occur since 4x5 adapters naturally move the new film plane further away from the original film plane. This extension amount can also help adjust for the various grip depths of deferent camera versions. This Fotodiox Pro-Series mount adapter is machined with high-tolerance precision for the best possible fit.
