This teleprompter comes in a metal hard-sided case to protect it during travel. Inside is the main teleprompter piece, complete with a lens shield, adjustable camera rail and sliding tablet holder. Also included are a bluetooth prompter remote and an L-bracket to give you mounting options (especially the option of mounting your camera vertically.I found this to be incredibly easy to set up. I mounted the camera rail to my tripod, attached my camera to the rail and adjusted it to the right length where the sides of the hood aren't showing (this placement will depend on your lens length/zoom.) Then I just cinched the lens hood to block out the light, and I was ready to go.The remote requires two AAA batteries and connects via bluetooth. The remote works alright, although it is a little tricky. I don't like that you can't control the speed of the scroll with the joystick. You instead use the joystick to turn on/off the scrolling and then below it there are buttons to speed it up/slow it down. I feel like it would be much more ergonomic to have this function all in one place. When you download their companion app you paste or type whatever text is needed into it and set it to prompter mode. I wish the sliding rail for the tablet had a way to secure it in place; as is, the tablet just sets on top unsecured. I took a couple of small bungee ties to strap it to the rail just to be safe.Overall I found this to be very handy once I familiarized myself with its operation. The part that was the most frustrating is the app. While it does work, it is very basic and not the easiest to navigate. I wish there was a way to import a whole document into the prompter instead of having to copy/paste everything. It also crashed a few times while I was using it.I almost rated this 3 stars because of the app, but I do think that this product, while basic, is a good option for beginners looking to use a teleprompter in their work. I will be interested to see if the remote will work with other more established teleprompter apps.
