Installed this dash camera yesterday. it's a Next Base 222G from Amazon and includes GPS tracking with the included GPS antenna mount. Nice small setup and was able to route the cable behind the trim easily. It is plugged into the 12V outlet as I don't use it for anything else so figured hard wiring to a fuse box would be a waste. The kit is really full featured and includes a tool to pry the trim a bit if needed to hide the cable, and a long power cord that terminates in a lighted 12 volt cigar lighter plug. The kit also includes an extra adhesive mounting plate if needed or to move the camera between cars (of course you would need another power cable). The magnetic mounting is excellent, it holds like a gorilla to a branch. That feature alone made this a perfect choice for me. Following installation took a drive and it performs well. It has 1080P recording and the details are sharp; recording is clean and not jittery. Many of the dash cameras write to a cell phone or require a cell phone to address the videos, and this does not. It is a stand alone system only requiring a PC or Mac to use the application, while the camera itself will perform all the function without connection to anything but power. The app is easy to understand and use. Plus the app has so many features it should be industry standard.I searched for a camera that met my needs, would fit my Defender easily in the space next to the safety cameras, was easy to remove to download video (no, it doesn't require a cell phone which is a great plus for me) I think this is a great dash camera.Had previous generation. It broke. Rear camera wasn't transferrable. ReturnedNot a good camera lasted a month, was hassled on returnI'm happy with this purchase, especially with the coupon applied. Not a touch-screen BTW.
